“Madame
We would like today to honor You
but we do not have anything but our hearts.
You with Your playful joy and tenderness
who keeps our courage up and make us stop crying,
please accept our burning and inner wishes of happiness.
Happier days will soon come.
When we put our sorrows and troubles behind us
We will keep a fond memory of You.
May the future be bright for You Madame,
This we all deeply wish, Your black sheep.
How big, sorrowful, or happy their souls may be
So be assured that we will always be Your friends.”
Ravensbrück, 25 August 1944
“Little Belgium , which has such a big heart
has in its exile found a creature that is delightful
and who comforts and strengthens its helpless daughters
and makes their fate a little easier to live with during these sorrowful years.
We love You, Madame and we wish You
sincerely, in our way,
with all our hearts, all good.
It is wonderful to find an angel in our misery.
We feel great gratitude for knowing you
and Your name will always be blessed among us
and when we have returned to our homelands
our eternal friendship will keep us together”

"Welcome every day as a promise of a new light. In that light, your inner work commences. This must never stop. Think about what you have done, your own thoughts, your intentions, and what went wrong yesterday. Then, you will see them in a new light. Then your inner balance back will return. Start your life from scratch every morning, as a traveler who has rested all night and who has forgotten all the weariness and all the difficulties of yesterday to be able to go on. Dare create new hope within yourself every morning."
"Even when doubt seizes you at the crossroads,
when you do not know where to look for Christ
if you just brotherly lent each other a hand
you would find him among you…" /K. Wagner

C
ome from You and that You give us everything, Great, God Almighty.
This faith makes our destiny easier to bear.
O’ Lord, give us strength to endure.
Infuse faith in our souls so
that this exile is not without meaning and that we suffer for our old sins.
Forgive us our sins and weakness when
Despair assails our soul.
And when many fall under the plight of Your cross
Save us from all evil and let us
blissfully return to our homes.
Amen”
